Mental Health First Aid action plan

ALGEE - a Mental Health First Aid action plan that MHFAiders can use to help someone who is experiencing mental health distress.
The ALGEE plan is more of a toolbox than a step-by-step, with Mental Health First Aiders able to use all or any of the elements in whichever sequence best suits the situation.
Open listening skills are something that all employers should practice. The art of listening with curiosity not judgment is a skill that is developed.
The MHFA course is a really useful way of helping someone get the help they need, through colleagues who are trained to look for signs that a person may be becoming unwell. There are too many course providers to mention here. St John Ambulance and Mind would be good places to start if you want to build resilience and support in your workforce.
If your workplace would benefit from having access to a mental health professional our Verve On Demand service is available to you. There are no subscription costs, you only pay for the appointments your staff actually use.
